Arturo Vidal continued his recovery from injury as he hit the net with a well-placed shot during Juventus’ 3-1 win over Cagliari on Thursday as they ended their run of three consecutive draws in all competitions while ending the year while on top of the league table.
The 27-year-old had a letdown of a season after struggling with a knee injury that he suffered last season. However, the Chilean made sure he made his mark against Cagliari when he scored Juventus’ second goal in the 15th minute after a low cross from former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.
"I want to get back to being one of the best [in the world] in 2015 and I'm working a lot to achieve this," he told Sky Sport Italia after the victory. "It was important to win this evening and we did that well. We have played against a difficult team and we have produced a good game. It was important to finish 2014 in first place.”
