It is amusing how often Wesley Sneijder is successful in scoring screamers, and how easy it is for him too at the same time. Playing for Galatasaray, the Dutch midfielder scored from a thunderous free-kick from 30-yards-out.
With Galatasaray coming into the second half with a lead in hand, following an opening goal from Yasin Oztekin, Sneijder stepped up for the Turkish side to take up the free-kick from the left side of the opposition’s box in their Super Lig tie against Karabukspor. And, astoundingly, Sneijder was successful in putting it in from quite a distance.
Galatasaray would eventually go on to win the match 4-2 with another goal from the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan midfielder in the 90th minute.
