This has to be one of the craziest self-goals ever and it unfolds in the most unexpected fashion. It all unravels when you least expect it as Comunicaciones goalkeeper Rodrigo Cervetti throws the ball into his own net.

The Argentine side eventually lost 5-0 against Atlanta in the Argentine third division football league. Atlanta were awarded a gift of a goal when there seemed to be no threat of a goalscoring chance.

It all seemed like business as usual for Cervetti when he picked the ball up in the penalty area after preventing a corner. He was trying to find his team-mate with a throw when he accidentally and shockingly swings it right into his own net.

The unfortunate incident could be one of the contenders for the 'worst goal ever' award. The conspiracy theorists may even say there is 'match-fixing' involved.
