Rio de Janerio, April 30 (IANS) Zenit Saint Petersburg manager Andre Villas-Boas reiterated his desire to work as a coach in Brazil.

The 37-year-old former Chelsea and Porto manager has been linked to the vacant Sao Paulo position, but said he was committed to the Russian club until the end of his contract in 2016.

"I can't at this time because my focus is on Zenit," the Portuguese was quoted telling Brazilian news portal Uol.

"It's one of my ambitions to work in Brazil. It would mean that I would be working with talent and I could take my European concepts into training. I know that other European managers have gone to Brazil but it's a goal that I have."

"I am a professional and I don't close rule out anything. I don't know what will happen tomorrow and it's not impossible that I will work in Brazil soon. It will depend on the project and the people," he said.

Villas-Boas first expressed his wish to coach in Brazil in 2012 after he was sacked by Chelsea.

Sao Paulo have been seeking a manager since the resignation of Muricy Ramalho earlier this month for health reasons.
