Arsenal‘s attempts to sign Juventus‘ Mirko Vucinic on loan has been rejected as the Italian club are only willing to sell him on a permanent deal.
Arsene Wenger is in need of a new striker as Theo Walcott is out injured for the season and Nicklas Bendtner is still out injured for several more weeks. That leaves Wenger with just Olivier Giroud as a first-team striker, forcing him into the transfer market.
According to Sky Italia, Arsenal approached the Italian champions with a loan offer for Vucinic but it was rejected as they’re seeking to let him leave the club permanently.
It is thought Juve are trying to sell Vucinic as they’re turning their attentions to Manchester United‘s Nani but cannot sign him until they’ve raised enough funds.
Vucinic has scored just two goals and created just six chances in Serie A this season, but has recorded an 83% shot accuracy.
