Wales manager Chris Coleman has insisted that Arsenal’s Aaron Ramseyis just as good as his international teammate Gareth Bale.
Ramsey has been in fantastic form for the Gunners this season, scoring eight goals that have led Arsenal to the top of the Premier League table.
Bale became the world’s most expensive player in the summer when he completed his £86 million move to Real Madrid, but Coleman claims Ramsey’s early-season form puts him on a par with the newest Galactico.
“When you see what he is doing at the minute then why would you not say he is at a similar level (to Bale)?,” he said.
Ramsey suffered an awful leg-break in 2011 against Stoke but has since recovered to return to his best form.
“What he’s doing at the minute is enjoying his football,” he added. “He’s found his confidence again. He’s always had the ability, he just needed to get the confidence back and he’s got that.
“You can’t be doing what he is doing without that. And he’s doing it in every game. If he’s not scoring, he looks like scoring. He’s involved in everything. Rambo looks brilliant at the minute.”
Ramsey was substituted in the second half of Arsenal’s 1-1 draw at home to Everton yesterday. Mesut Ozil gave the Gunners the lead only for Gerard Deulofeu to score a late equaliser.
The point moved Arsenal five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
