AC Milan and Malaga are pursuing a loan deal for £50 million recruit Fernando Torres
AC Milan was snubbed by Man City after holding talks on a deal for Carlos Tevez. The Italian champions are offering a £30million future buy-clause if Torres starts turning back the clock at the San Siro. Torres, who hasn’t been playing any first team football for Chelsea lately, needs some form going into Euro 2012. Malaga are reportedly also on the fringes of tabling a deal for Torres, offering him a return to Spain for a short spell.
A stumbling block for these two clubs will be the African Cup of Nations in January. Didier Drogba, Solomon Kalou and Nicolas Anelka will all leave the club come January. Drogba and Kalou could miss 3-4 games in 2012 and in their absence, Torres’ services would be required.
Torres has spoken out on his exit from Anfield on Spanish TV, saying that he was let down by the new owners of Liverpool.
‘They made promises that they didn’t keep and I left because I realized I didn’t have time to be part of a project that would take years “ He has acknowledged that Del Bosque is sweating on his work at Chelsea, vowing to get back in favour with AVB.
