The win on Sunday was a huge result; with Spurs faltering, we regained third spot to maintain a two point gap over Arsenal and a game in hand over Tottenham.
In all honesty, we were poor. Yes, we controlled the ball for the majority of the game but we created few clear cut chances as Sunderland executed their game plan to perfection in the first half.
A goal down from an own goal of our own, we had to bounce back quickly and after a surging Torres goal, we were rewarded in a bizarre fashion.
It is certainly the luckiest goal we have scored in a while.
The only other contender I can think of is when Paul Furlong scored with his backside in the Cup Winners Cup way back in 1995.
So, is this the luckiest goal we have ever scored?
