#1 November 19, 2011 – Borussia Monchengladbach vs Werder Bremen
The 2011-12 Bundesliga season erased the disappointments of the previous campaign for Monchengladbach as they managed to secure a fourth place finish. The Die Fohlen scored 49 goals that campaign and five of them came against Werden Bremen at the Borussia-park.
Marco Reus was in the thick of the action as he produced yet another memorable performance in Monchengladbach colours, scoring a hat-trick. His second goal of the match was a combination of pace, skill and composure. A Bremen attack was broken down deep inside the Monchengladbach half and following a couple of neat short passes, the ball reached Marco Reus who started a breathtaking run from inside his own half.
He left two defenders for the dead on his way and he had all the composure in the world to slot the ball home past Tim Wiese from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner. It was one of those mazy runs of the German which simply rips apart the opposition defence.
Time and time again, Reus visualises his artistry on the ball and proves that when he is at his best, he is in a class of his own.
