He is now No. 4 on the list of all-time top scorers for Manchester United, behind Jack Rowley (211 goals), Denis Law (237 goals) and the all-time top scorer Sir Bobby Charlton (249 goals).
Also, a superb acrobatic volley by Robin van Persie and a late goal by Antonio Valencia ensured that David Moyes’s debut victory in the UEFA Champions League was sealed.
