Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has made up his mind and is determined to leave for Chelsea, sources close to the player have said.
There are suggestions that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is trying to zone in on Rooney after the repeated attempts to get Luis Suarez seem to going nowhere. Despite Rooney’s open admiration for Wenger it is quite clear that he has his heart set on Chelsea and is keen to join Jose Mourinho and his boys. This is something that has been made known to Arsenal in the recent past, reports ESPN.
Rooney’s move has been made difficult by Manchester’s tough stand on not letting him go. It is believed that the club might use a more appeasing stance in future to keep their star forward back at Old Trafford.
Liverpool on the other hand seem to be taking a much more hard-line position on the Suarez issue, and seem have decided not to sell Suarez to any other club in the Premier league.
United now might be ready to look at other options and may approach Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines in their lookout for a central midfielder. United’s Manager David Moyes has made it apparent that he will be on the look out for reinforcements in the midfield, despite Anderson Oliveira doing well in the pre-season games.
