With all the rumours about Paris Saint Germain’s interest in Wayne Rooney, sources have confirmed that the striker will be offered a new contract that will keep him at Old Trafford.
There has a been lot of news floating about speculating Rooney’s future with Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson is going all out to kill all such speculations. The Scot has said that he will negotiate with the striker to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Rooney, currently 27 years old, signed the five-year deal in October 2010 and with just two seasons left in it, the United boss insists that he will do everything he can to keep him. It is understood that Rooney wants to spend his peak years at Old Trafford and will not hesitate to sign any contract put forth by the club.
“There is absolutely no issue about a new contract for Wayne. When it is time to renegotiate with Wayne it will be done” said the United boss.
Regarding the rumours going around about the relationship between the United manager and his star striker, he said “For people to suggest that I don’t talk to Wayne on the training ground is absolute b******s. It’s an insult to me and to Wayne.”
