Claudio Bravo says that Chile still needs work to do

Santiago, June 25 (IANS) Goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was pleased with Chile's 1-0 win over Uruguay in their Copa America quarter-final, but insisted their overall objective is yet to be achieved.

After a slightly nervy start, Chile settled into possession and were in control of the ball for much of the game on Wednesday, but it was not until the 81st minute - and after Edinson Cavani had been shown a red card - that Mauricio Isla netted the winning goal to send them into the semi-final.

The goalkeeper acknowledged that it was a difficult match and admitted that there is still work to do for coach Jorge Sampaoli's men.

"It was a tough match. We know they always are against Uruguay," he said after the match on Wednesday. "We are going to the next phase. We are always hopeful. We try to give our maximum, but now we have to rest and think about the next opponent. We have not yet fulfilled our aim of reaching the final."

Chile will now face either Peru or Bolivia in the semi-final at the Estadio Nacional stadium on Monday. Striker Alexis Sanchez added the players have the same dream as all of the Chilean fans.

"Many thanks to the people. I am very happy for the team, for the spirit," the striker said. "In the first half I did not feel fresh, my legs were not responding. We will play against either Peru or Bolivia (in the semi-final). We have the same dream as the people that came to support us."
