Reports are emerging that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is interested in Tin Jedvaj, who at a tender age of 17 is touted to be the next big thing in the footballing world. The report suggests that Wenger is lining up a £6million bid for the Croatian wonderkid.
Earlier, AS Roma were chasing the starlet having tabled a bid of about £5m for the Dinamo Zagreb defender, which was rejected just a few days back.
Jedvaj, 17, is the most highly-rated player from Croatia since midfielder Luka Modric. He has already been called up to train with the full national squad despite his inexperience. He could soon make his full international debut for Croatia in the upcoming World Cup qualification matches.
Wenger is also keen on signing the Swansea City centre-half and skipper Ashley Williams, 28, as a ready-made first-team option. But the Gunners boss is unhappy at the Swans’ £10m valuation and sees Jedvaj as the long-term option.
