#5 Did fatigue kick in for Chelsea?
In the Europa League opener against PAOK Salonika, against many fans' expectations and guesses, Sarri opted for a relatively stronger XI with the likes of Jorginho, Willian, Antonio Rudiger and Marcos Alonso all starting.
The workload was sort of visible in this match. If we analyse individually, most of those players struggled to make an impact. Marcos Alonso was far from his best as he was barely seen in those attacking positions he usually occupies. While Willian couldn't provide the acceleration and cutting edge that he usually does, Jorginho looked shaky when West Ham broke away.
Chelsea did win possession back and attacked all afternoon, but their final ball uncharacteristically lacked precision and quality. One could blame the manager, who could have rested more players in midweek.
