What Chelsea management's main aim should be in 2018

Chelsea have had a wonderful 2017. They won the Premier League again and are now finishing the year in the 2nd spot – 14 points behind the league leaders, Manchester City.

While the players are doing everything they can on the pitch, Antonio Conte and his staff members are doing the same off it. But there is one thing that only the management can do.

The contract situation of Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois should be the club's main priority this year. The two players are vital for Chelsea and the club's future. They are easily among the best players in the world and should be offered the contract that they deserve.

Eden Hazard is reportedly demanding £300,000 per week as wages, isn't that justifiable? He has been the best player in the league for the last 18 months and can become the best once Messi and Ronaldo retire.

Hazard does face a contest from Neymar but the Belgian is nothing less than the Brazilian. He can do every single thing apart from scoring goals, mainly because he is not selfish enough.

Moving to Thibaut Courtois, he too is one the best in the world right now. David de Gea and Manuel Neuer might be rated higher than him by EA Sports FIFA, but on his day, he can be on par with them.

There are talks that Chelsea want to make him the best-paid goalkeeper in the world – that is what a player would want from his club when he's doing his best for them on the field.

Lastly, Antonio Conte. There is no manager out there who can make Chelsea the best team in the world apart from Conte. The manager knows how to get the best out of his players and needs to be backed by everyone at the club.

He too should be offered a new contract as the one he currently has expires at the end of next season.
