Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has said that his teammate Wilfried Zaha could take up to three years to make his mark in the Premier League.
“He has areas he needs to work on but over the next three years he’ll develop into an excellent player,” he said.
Zaha, who was the last signing of Sir Alex Ferguson, has failed to find a spot in the team in recent games.
Zaha joined United from Crystal Palace for a fee of £15million in January and was immediately loaned back to Palace where he played a crucial role in their promotion to the Premier League.
Zaha made his debut for United against Wigan in the Community shield but has since failed to cement a spot in the squad, giving room for rumours of a loan deal in January.
