Will Manchester City dominate at Bernabeu ?

After crashing out of the globe’s famous soccer event,UEFA champions League,the Sky Blues are on the verge of making a comeback with their revved up squad under coach Roberto Mancini.

The Premier League giants will face La Liga champions Real Madrid in the first round of UCL on 18th of September at the Santiago Bernabeu. Speculations have erupted after Ronaldo’s Madrid displayed a poor run in the La Liga after losing 1-0 to Sevilla. They might have shown an inconsistent performance in Spain, but this big European night might be enough to set the sparks on.

Here is what David Silva,the Spaniard had to say ahead of the match:

“It is clear that, when everything is going well, they play with more confidence. When they have doubts, it is difficult.But maybe it is more dangerous because they are not at a good moment and we could awaken the beast in them. We have to be careful they are a world-class team.”

City’s new signing Javi Garcia, Scott Sinclair and especially Maicon will be promising and will add a positive value tonight at Real Madrid’s nest. As Micah Richards is injured, Madrid can look at this as their advantage, much to City’s woe’s. The Citizen’s will follow a 4-4-2 formation under guidance of Mancini.

The Brazilian right back who made his debut against Stoke City, was at his top level. Could he be a possible replacement for M.Richards? The £3.5M worth player can tear defences apart by running down the sideline, embarassing defenders who won’t get a single chance to feel the ball. That is Maicon. If he appears tonight, Pepe and Ramos will have to mark him for sure. The number 3 shirted player has the ability to score in long range efforts. He won the Club World Club under Inter Milan and looks forward to do the same with Citizens. He shall indeed be a fear factor tonight for the Spaniards. Don’t you think so?

Carlos Tevez

El Apache will be the most targeted player at the pitch. As Ageuro is sidelined and Dzeko is out of form,Tevez will be the only man for help under Roberto’s side. With fans screaming each time he grabs the ball, it won’t happen tonight since it’s at the Madrid Stadium. After last year’s controversial issue, Carlos likes to put it aside and win more titles, especially Champions League, which each and every club around the world desires to do. Tevez can be basically compared to a world class player who accelerates non-stop with great pace. He adds a very productive style to City’s flow and movement of play.
