Without Terry and Lampard, Chelsea have NO leader

One thing is clear for me about our recent slump and dip in form, without JT and Frank Lampard on the pitch, we have no natural leader or voice on the pitch to organise people, to give people encouragement and a real kick up the arse!

Just look at last night, seeing David Luiz and Mikel arguing on the pitch is just embarrassing and you have to question if JT was on the pitch, would that be happening?

That’s been our biggest problem despite what anyone thinks in my opinion. I know Petr Cech has had the armband in their absence but for me a goalkeeper should never be the captain of a football team. How on earth can they speak to the players all over the pitch, and how can they organise shape on the half way line?

That’s the biggest problem the new manager will have. It’s important to have ONE VOICE on the pitch, a clear leader that people look to for inspiration and someone they expect will give them a right good tongue lashing if they do not pull their weight.

I believe it should be someone like Gary Cahill, and not Petr Cech for the reasons I have given above and because of the passion he has for defending. If anything, there was one person on the pitch prepared to have a pop at his players last night and that WAS Cahill, and something needs to be done as soon as possible by the new manager to give him the armband when those two aren’t there.
