German football club VFL Wolfsburg's coach Dieter Hecking has hit out at Spanish giants Real Madrid left-back Marcelo, accusing him of "acting" in their Champions League first leg match.
"Marcelo is an actor. I have told him to stop his acting," Hecking said after the match on Wednesday. Wolfsburg won the match 2-0.
"It doesn't belong here and it's unsportsmanlike."
The Brazilian international placed his head into the chest of Arnold before dropping to the floor while holding his face, with both players booked after the incident.
According to Bild, Marcelo and Hecking clashed at the Volkswagen Arena ground after the match.
The 51-year-old tactician reportedly replied, "We'll meet again when you get eliminated." Speaking at the post-match news conference, Hecking told reporters "I told Marcelo that he should stop acting. He could not have complained if he had been sent off in this scene."
