#4 A back 5
The Norwegian has almost always opted for a back four in his team. On the few occasions that he has tried a back 5, it has not worked out well. Against Wolves too, Solskjaer opted for a back 5, but failed to have the impact he desired.
Instead of bringing composure, the move yielded a lot of confusion in the team. Smalling and Young were regularly caught out of position and struggled to cope up with the Wolves attack. However, the main problem was that the purpose of going with a back 5 was never fulfilled.
Solskjaer wanted to cripple Wolves by using the wings. He opted for two young fullbacks who love to go forward, but Shaw and Dalot were not utilized properly by their teammates. Dalot picked up good positions in the first half, but indecision from his teammates saw him isolated. Shaw, on the other hand, missed the support of Martial and did not have the desired impact on the field.
