5. Tim Cahill - Australia (50 Goals)
Cahill has registered 50 goals in 106 appearances for the Socceroos. The hardworking forward known for his time at Everton is unlikely to make the starting lineup for Australia but will surely get some minutes on the pitch. The team will rely on the experience of the 38-year-old if they are to make any sort of progress in the competition.
Cahill is fond of scoring on the big stage and is chasing a historic goal in Russia. If he does find the back of the net, he will join an elite club of legends Pele and Germans Uwe Seeler and Miroslav Klose to have scored at four World Cups.
He will get the opportunity in a group containing France, Denmark and Peru. Regardless of whether he gets the goal or not, Cahill will go down as one of the greatest Australian players of all time and their all-time top scorer.
