#3 Ernst Lehner (1934) -25 seconds
Ernst Lehner's 24th-second strike against Austria in the 1934 World Cup's match for the third place is the oldest among the five fastest goals ever scored in the World Cup and the second oldest in the top 10, behind Adalbert Desu's goal against Peru in 1930.
Regarded as one of the best outside right players in the 1934 World Cup, Lehner was a corner kick specialist. He made a name for himself by scoring goals directly from corner kicks.
In the World Cup qualifiers in 1937, Lehner managed to score two goals directly from corner kicks in a single match. He also assisted two goals from set pieces that led to a 4-1 victory for the Germans against Estonia.
