#2 VACLAV MASEK (1962) -16 Seconds
Masek played 16 times for Czechoslovakia scoring 5 goals, one of which came against Mexico in the 1962 World Cup.
Masek fired the Czechoslovakians into the lead just 16 seconds into the game. It was, however, not enough to get them a win. His goal was canceled out in the 12th-minute by Izidoro Diaz as Mexico came from behind to win 3-1.
Masek's goal, though, still stands as the second-fastest goal ever scored in the World Cup.
