Former Italian midfielder, Nicola Berti spent a majority of his career at Inter Milan in a spell spanning 10 seasons from 88-98. In 1994, Berti was part of the Italian contingent who finished runners-up in the USA to Brazil. The Italians lost a shootout to Brazil as they claimed the title of world champions.

Berti was an influential player who had a long club career that spanned two decades and won 34 caps with the national team. Berti enjoyed a season at Spurs in the Premier League after leaving Inter but moved to Spain shortly after.
