Where Will FIFA 2022 World Cup Be Held?

The 2022 World Cup venue is Qatar. Qatar was appointed as the host for the 2022 World Cup on 2nd December 2010 after a successful bid by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad

bin Khalifa Al-Thani, son of Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani the then Emir of Qatar.

Qatar beat the United States in the final round to become the host of the FIFA World Cup 2022. The games are set to be played in 8 different stadiums across 5 different cities which are Lusail, Al Khor, Doha, Al Rayyan, and Al Wakrah.

World Cup 2022 Winner

32 different teams compete for the World Cup at the biggest stage in world football but only 1 can lift the prestigious trophy. If we go by FIFA rankings, Brazil, Belgium and Argentina are the top 3 ranked teams in the world right now but football is a very unpredictable game. The 2014 World Cup saw 2010 winners Spain get knocked out in the group stages itself by Netherlands and Chile and following suit, in the 2018 World Cup, 2014 winners Germany finished last in their group and were subsequently knocked out as well.

Football giants Italy have now failed to qualify for two back-to-back World Cups. This is why it is nearly impossible to predict who will win the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but if you look at the individual teams, both the Copa America 2021 finalists Argentina and Brazil have very strong teams and are in brilliant form. They will look to continue this run in form and secure the World Cup trophy.

On the European side of things France, Belgium and England have strong teams and will look to give the South American teams a run for their money. England were the finalists in EUROS 2020 and the Semi-Finalists in the 2018edition of the FIFA World Cup and will look to go all the way and win the competition this time. Netherlands, Spain, Germany, and Portugal can’t be ignored either.

They have strengthened their squads and will have a fair chance at lifting the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Although it is near impossible to predict the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner, if any team had to make a case the best bet would be Brazil. Although they lost the 2021 Copa America Final to Argentina, they have since strengthened their squad even more and are in very good form.

Brazil will be hoping to finally win the World Cup since their last World Cup trophy which came in 2002.
