Lionel Messi holds two distinctions in this XI. The first is that despite being the oldest player to feature in the team, he is the joint most valuable with Neymar Jr. The second is that he is the only player in this XI to have never transferred clubs.

The little magician has every right to call himself the greatest player of all time with perhaps the only glitch in his glittering career being a lack of titles with his nation, Argentina.

Between 2017 and 2018 his value jumped from €120 million to €180 million. This jump is likely due to Neymar Jr.'s transfer inflating the market.
