It was inevitable that this weekend’s best performance would come from Manchester City’s 7-0 demolition of a hapless Norwich City side with the likes of Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Samir Nasri all on song.

But it was Yaya Toure who stood out with a monstrous Squawka Performance Score of 119, as he blitzed the Canaries midfield in a utterly dominant display.

The languid Ivorian was masterful in his distribution throughout, orchestrating the City attack and capped it all off with a sublime free-kick for his fifth goal of the season.

Toure’s afternoon started quietly, but his performance took off after his involvement in a superb flowing move for City’s fourth goal.

Collecting a short pass from Silva, Toure cleverly put Aguero clean through on goal with a deft lofted pass, and the Argentine squared it to the onrushing Alvaro Negredo to tuck away a simple finish.

His crowning moment would come next as Edin Dzeko won a free-kick 20 yards from goal, and the Ivorian didn’t disappoint by unleashing a beautiful curling effort straight into the top corner.

Moments of magic aside, Toure was extremely composed in possession throughout, recording an incredible 110 successful passes from 118 for a completion rate of 93%.

The City star also completed both of his take ons, won his only headed duel and successfully made one of two tackles for a dominant all-round display.
