Yaya Toure is looking to force through an exit from Manchester City this summer according to the Daily Express, and is reportedly open to a move to Premier League rivals Liverpool or Chelsea.

Toure’s relationship with the City hierarchy has appeared to have reached breaking point this summer over a number of personal issues, with the Ivorian unhappy that there was little acknowledgement of his birthday in May, while Toure was also upset that he was denied time with his dying brother, who passed away from cancer in June.

The club deny that either of these events occurred with photographic evidence suggesting his birthday was celebrated by members of the club, with many believing the powerhouse midfielder is attempting to draw an improved wage packet or force a move away from the club.

Paris St Germain are reportedly leading the chase should he look to leave, while a stay in the Premier League could also been on the cards with Liverpool and Chelsea monitoring his situation and a source in the Ivory Coast team claims he is desperate to quit the Etihad this summer.

An unnamed international team-mate told reporters, “He (Toure) has accumulated too many grudges against Manchester City’s leaders and he will not stay for them.

“He will do everything to ensure his departure this summer.”
