You wrote off Torres? What were you thinking?

Perfect question for all the Chelsea haters out there, right? Fernando Torres seems to be getting back to his goal scoring antics, if the recent results are anything to go by. For the season so far, the lad has managed 3 goals out of 4 games in all competitions, counting the Community Shield win against Manchester City. That makes it a 75% goal scoring record, not mentioning that the season has just begun.

When you add the tally to the really instrumental fact that he has Eden Hazard supplying the goal balls for him, you would really want to hide your face in the event that you were on the “Torres is a flop” bandwagon. Fernando seems to have found his El-Nino ways, and there is no taking that away from him. Maybe getting rid of Didier Drogba seems to have worked in his favor, but then again, who knows?

You see, football is an interesting game where wits and plans change as fast as a pulsating game ends. Within 90 minutes anything can happen. Over the years we have come to appreciate the fact that to get the best out of a team, or a player rather, you need to build a rapport, a formation or whatever you would like to call it, and make sure that it works. With that, you can then build an indomitable team around it.

Think about it; Messi-Iniesta-Xavi, Song-Van Persie, Rooney-Tevez-Cristiano, Aguero-Silva-Tevez, and the list is endless. When you are able to form such partnerships, you can easily turn Blackpool into Arsenal, no offense!

So for Chelsea to bring back the goal scoring machine that Nemanja Vidic so dreaded, Abramovic had to rally the troops behind him. With Mata and Hazard playing behind Torres, get ready for an ass whooping, anyone who allows them to make it happen. Meanwhile, you are yet to bring on Oscar, a player we are yet to see the best of in the EPL, yet.

My point? Torres is back. Hate him or love him, you have to accept the fact that he is back, and maybe so are Chelsea, time will tell!
