Real Madrid legends and Manchester United legends will play a charity match at Old Trafford on June 2nd. Football greats Zinedine Zidane and Luis Figo have been included in Real’s line-up.
The “Legends are back” friendly, which is organised by Manchester United Foundation, will be played in order to raise money for disadvantaged young people under their Red Heart United banner.
Former Liverpool and Manchester City player Steve McManaman, who won the Champions League twice with Madrid, has also confirmed his participation. Other stars include Fernando Hierro, Fernando Redondo, Emilio Butragueno, Christian Karembeu and Ivan Helguera.
While the United legends will include Dwight Yorke, Andrew Cole, Denis Irwin, Lee Sharpe, Dion Dublin, Quinton Fortune, Edwin van der Sar, Jaap Stam, Teddy Sheringham and Nicky Butt.
