After Thiago Silva and Marco Verratti agreed to improved terms to stay with Paris Saint-Germain, Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 31, seems to be the next in line for a pay raise at PSG.
He will reportedly see his annual wage boosted from €14 million per year to as much as €16m.
Ibrahimovic insisted last week that he wanted to talk to PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi about his future after being linked to Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester City during the close season.
Although the club is positive about Ibrahimovic not leaving them this summer, but having watched the club offer Silva a pay rise, it was always likely that he would try to renegotiate his deal too.
PSG managing director Jean-Claude Blanc met with the former AC Milan and Barcelona star’s agent, Mino Raiola, last week and indicated that negotiations could be wrapped up by the weekend.
