Focusing only on PSG at the moment: Ibrahimovic
Ibrahimovic joined PSG in 2012 from Milan for a reported fee of €20M and he helped PSG dominate Ligue 1, playing an integral part in their league success. The French club have won the league title three years in a row and look set to win a fourth in 2016 with a 19-point lead at the halfway stage.
“My current situation is new to me. I have an expiring contract and that is a new experience. I am free to do what I want,” Ibrahimovic told L'Equipe.
“I am focused on PSG for now. I still have six months to go on my current contract and I want to give my best for the team. I do not have a next destination in mind. I have a good relationship with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and with the people of Qatar, but I cannot say anything at this stage. Let's just say that a move to Qatar is an option.
“I am enjoying my football at the moment and I'm feeling well both mentally and physically. I am enjoying myself each game. We will see what happens.”
Life of a manager after hanging up his boots?
Ibrahimovic has worked with top managers like Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and Laurent Blanc throughout in his career and revealed that he might consider taking up a managerial job after his playing days.
“I have a lot of experience and have played under some great coaches. They have taught me a lot. We will see whether a career as a coach is an option at the end of my career,” he added.
Ibrahimovic has scored a total of 123 goals for PSG in 147 appearances after joining the Ligue 1 champions in 2012. PSG will be looking to keep hold of their best striker, but it is quite obvious that Zlatan has other plans having already proven his worth across the top leagues in Europe.
