Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a player who is known for being aggressive and brash. However, the Swedish striker revealed his softer side by reaching out to a police officer who was involved in a tragic accident on Sunday.
The policeman who was on a motorcycle and escorting the PSG team to the stadium was involved in a collision with a car on the way and was immediately taken to the hospital. The officer is currently in a critical situation and even required a heart massage.
The Swedish forward sent the policeman his jersey and wished him a speedy recovery. The PSG forward, the entire PSG team and the victim’s family will be hoping that the police officer makes a full and complete recovery.
Zlatan might still be offered a new contract
Zlatan himself was in fine form on Sunday scoring both the goals and helping PSG to a routine 2-0 victory over Saint-Etienne. The striker has been absolutely prolific this season already netting 24 goals and assisting eight more in all competitions.
The striker’s future has been subject to intense speculation over the past year with his contract running out at the end of the current season. Mino Raiola who is the agent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has kept all options open for his client saying that the PSG talisman is yet to decide his future.
Ibrahimovic is not short of any offers with teams in the Premier League and Italian Serie A looking to secure his services. The 34-year-old has also revealed a desire to play in the MLS but where he will be playing next season still remains a mystery.
Ibrahimovic also insisted after the match against Saint-Etienne that he was totally happy at the French capital. The striker, according to the mail was reported as saying “'I'm very happy at PSG. You don't see that on the field?”
“Right now I am very happy with the way the team is playing and I want to ensure that we win everything at PSG. I am completely calm about my future and I have not yet decided where I will be playing next .”
PSG are reportedly considering offering the towering Swedish frontman a new contract. Zlatan who has shown no signs of slowing down even at 34 has been one of the main reasons for the recent successes of the team from the French capital.
