What is the lore behind Drop Dee in Fortnite?

Drop Dee has no lore to speak of in Fortnite, but that hasn't stopped her from being a somewhat of an important character. She is a remake of Power Chord, brought to life by Fortnite concept artist GiGis_Lab. The artist in question is also the creator of other popular characters such as Festival Lace, Mazy, and Syd.

A small detail that is noticeable on Drop Dee's shirt are the words "Don't talk to me". Another fun fact about the character, is that if a player quits/leaves Fortnite Festival during a performance, Drop Dee can take their place. This also works if "No Fill" has been selected. Her official in-game description reads, "Let's open up this pit."
