What is the lore behind Laguna in Fortnite?

While Laguna is one of the more recognizable variants of the Headhunter character model in Fortnite, there is little to no lore attached to her when it comes to the in-game storyline. The character was introduced during Chapter 1 Season 8 and was largely introduced due to the overall tropical beach theme surrounding her and her cosmetics.

Since the character is quite old, Epic Games is unlikely to expand on Laguna's role in the storyline and she can most likely be looked at as yet another Snapshot of Headhunter that was left behind after she escaped the Loop.
