What is the lore behind Polar Peely in Fortnite?
There is no lore behind Polar Peely in Fortnite, but he does belong to the Frozen Series which include icy/frosty snapshots/variants of a few characters such as: Frozen Nog Ops, Frozen Fishstick, The Devourer, Codename E.L.F., Snow Drift, Snowheart, Frost Broker, Frozen Love Ranger, Frozen Raven, Permafrost Raider, Ice Crystal, and Icebound Midas. Given that Peely is popular within the community, Polar Peely shares some of that fame. Sadly, he has never been part of the storyline in any tangible way.
This comes as a major surprise given that Peely and a few other variants/snapshots of him such as Agent Peely and Peely Bone have been featured on the island as NPCs. In fact, Agent Peely played a major role back in Chapter 2 Season 2 when Midas was incharge of the island. It’s unclear if Epic Games has anything lined up with Polar Peely in the near future. His official in-game description reads, “That's one cool banana.” This is a reference to him being frozen solid. Which is clearly visible due to his blue color.

As mentioned, it was a time-limited cosmetic given out to players free during Winterfest 2021. This makes it exclusive and rare. Those own the character a one-of-a-kind snapshot/variant of Peely. On a brighter note, those who Polar Peely will be able to use the character while exploring new LEGO Fortnite seeds.
