There is no lore associated with the Marshy Smasher in Fortnite. It is Pickaxe that players could have obtained back in Chapter 1 Season 7. What makes it cool is the fact that it is connected to Christopher Comstock, better known as Marshmello who is an American electronic music producer and DJ. The Pickaxe features Marshmello’s headgear attached to a handle. It includes a wide smile as well.
Marshmello himself is also featured in-game as part of the Icon Series and has two variants/snapshots: Marshinobi, and a female counterpart called Marsha. Both of them do not play any part in the storyline of Fortnite, but they are rather cool additions to the game. It gives players more to choose from when picking characters.
