Skins have always played a huge role in Fortnite, be it Renegade Raider that has only appeared once in the item shop, or Aura who rotates frequently due to her popularity. It was no different for Chapter 3 Season 1, which saw the addition of over two dozen skins to the game.
However, the current season is already nearing its end. With just eight days left before the next season begins, it's time to take a look back at the skins that got the crowd going and those that hardly anyone cared about.
These skins stand out in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1
1) Foundation

Of all the skins in Chapter 3 Season 1, none were more hyped up than the Foundation. From the moment fans got a glimpse of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the live-event, the Foundation became a must-have outfit. Sadly, once the current season ends, the skin will no longer be obtainable.
2) Spider-Man
When it comes to style and popularity, Spider-Man is no stranger to the game. His skin has six amazing styles to choose from and provides MCU fans with end-game levels of immersion. The 'Fortography' segment on Twitter was flooded with pictures of Spider-Man for weeks after the skin became available.
3) Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars was a wildcard this season. Out of nowhere, this pop-musician’s skin came onto the scene and took over Looper's lockers. Priced at 18,000 V-Bucks and with four amazing styles, it was an absolute bargain.
These skins are dull in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1
1) Ronin
Much like Charlotte from Chapter 2 Season 8, Ronin comes with his own katana. Unfortunately, unlike Charlotte, Ronin wasn't very popular in the current season. Despite having three styles and six colors to choose from, players just don't seem to like him all that much.
2) Shanta
When Shanta was showcased in the Chapter 3 trailer, fans couldn't get enough of her. However, to their dismay, to unlock all her 'armor pieces' in the game, Loopers had to complete quests. Given that the skin had little or no origin story, many soon lost interest in her.
3) Cobra Kai
To celebrate the release of the fourth season of Cobra Kai, cosmetics from the T.V. series were added to Fortnite. While the show might have a cult following, the skins were not as popular as Epic Games thought they would be. Even the clever wordplay of 'Karateka Jones,' was not enough to bolster sales.
