With the year coming to an end, it is time to look back at some of the best Fortnite crossovers of 2024. This year has perhaps seen some of the most exciting content to have ever been added to the game. The list is seemingly endless, sporting characters from different franchises of all kinds. This includes personalities from both real-life and fictional universes.
We've had the spotlight shone on several prominent musicians for the Fortnite Festival as well. However, when it comes to narrowing it down to the best Fortnite crossovers of 2024, some of these names will have to be cut. That said, here are some of the biggest collaborations that occurred this year.

Lionel Messi and four other best Fortnite crossovers of 2024

Despite being a rather late entry this year, it can be said with absolute certainty that Lionel Messi is one of the best Fortnite crossovers of 2024. Epic Games has added other footballers to the roster in the past, with Neymar Jr, Harry Kane, and Marco Reus becoming part of the title. However, Messi's inclusion was unexpected for the most part.
Fans have indeed been wanting the GOAT in-game for a while, and their wish has now been granted. On that note, the next major collaboration with the football world could be Cristiano Ronaldo, but it is too soon to say. For the time being, fans will have to be content with Messi and cosplay as him in-game.
Snoop Dogg
If someone said that Snoop Dogg would be cast as the head of G.H.O.S.T. in Chapter 2 Remix, no one would have believed them, but it came to pass, nonetheless. Of course, it was known that a throwback to OG Chapter 2 was in development, but having Snoop Dogg at the head of it all was a major surprise for fans. Especially given the fact that he was the Boss of everyone on the island.
If this was not enough, he's also still the current feature artist for Fortnite Festival Season 6 which ends on January 14, 2025. Of course, Chapter 2 Remix also featured other rappers. However, for the most part, Snoop Dogg stole the show. The only other collaboration that came close was Epic Games immortalizing and posthumously celebrating Juice WRLD during the Chapter 2: Finale Live Event.

It would be very difficult to create a list of the best Fortnite crossovers of 2024 without including Avatar. It has been a staple of pop culture for years and having the characters added to the Metaverse was a feel-good moment for many hardcore fans. Epic Games also added seasonal content around the collaboration to provide a more holistic crossover.
Aside from weapons, and of course, numerous cosmetics, they introduce a mini Battle Pass for the occasion. There were a few quests added as part of the crossover as well. All in all, it truly was one of the best Fortnite crossovers of 2024.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Pirates of the Caribbean is arguably one of the best Fortnite crossovers of 2024. While the franchise has a strong fanbase, Captain Jack Sparrow is the heart and soul of it. The teaser for the collaboration featured Jack Sparrow in his signature act of running away from danger.
Aside from characters and cosmetics, this was one of the best Fortnite crossovers of 2024 due to the in-game items that were part of the collaboration. The highlight was undoubtedly Ship In a Bottle, which would summon a ghost ship. The mini Battle Pass was also a good addition to this crossover.
Metallica
I love heavy metal and rock music, so when Epic Games started teasing a potential collaboration with Metallica, I knew this was going to be a good crossover. And indeed, it was literally one of the best Fortnite crossovers of 2024.
Metallica x Fortnite had everything a fan could ask for. Cosmetics were added to the Item Shop and Festival Season 4 Pass. Jam Tracks became part of the Main Stage, and a new mode called Battle Stage was introduced. Lastly, with the post-apocalyptic theme of Chapter 5 Season 4 featuring Doctor Victor Von Doom in the backdrop, everything lined up perfectly.
What's more, is that Epic Games also paid tribute to Cliff Burton during the collaboration. As mentioned, Metallica's coming to the Metaverse was truly one of the best Fortnite crossovers of 2024. Hopefully, we get to see more bands headline as part of the Festival soon.
