5 things to know before Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 starts

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is right around the corner. It's expected to arrive sometime early in the morning on March 10, which leaves just a few more hours in Chapter 4 Season 1.

With the new season so close, there are a lot of changes waiting just over the horizon. Thankfully, leaks and teasers have given players an idea of what they can expect. There's going to be a lot, but they can at least be known ahead of time.

There will be big changes coming up if the leaks are true. Here's what you can expect once Chapter 4 Season 2 finally arrives.

What to expect in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2

1) Eren Yeager

Eren Yeager, the protagonist from the hit anime Attack on Titan, is all but confirmed to arrive in the Battle Pass. Teasers featuring him have come, which effectively means he's going to be a skin players can get next season.

Leaks suggested that he was going to be a secret skin, but that part has not been confirmed. Either way, it looks like Yeager is coming to the game.

2) Lucky Landing returning

Leaks have come out regarding what POIs are coming next. While there are a few new ones to fit the rumored futuristic theme, a couple of familiar favorites are coming back. Tilted Towers, as usual, is returning, but so is Lucky Landing - all the way from Chapter 1 Season X.

This has essentially been confirmed, too, thanks to a teaser showing the familiar cherry tree in the background. It's unclear if it will be the same Lucky Landing from Chapter 1, or if it will be updated to fit the theme.

3) New mechanics

There are expected to be a few new mechanics coming. Wall running is perhaps the biggest one, though, and it will allow players to sprint and jump onto the wall and continue running. The distance they travel and can jump on exiting the wall depends on the speed they're running at.

Wall kick is the other new mechanic, which could be a way of dealing damage. Either way, fun new features are on the way for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.

4) Star Wars Force

May the 4th be with you? Well, Fortnite is introducing the Force for May the 4th. When the Star Wars celebration comes back, it will include lightsabers and other items from the universe, but it's also going to include Force powers. Per iFireMonkey, these will be:

• Force Lift
• Force Jump
• Force Lightning
• Force Pull
• Force Push
• Force Rip
• Force Script
• Force Vacuum

This will easily be the biggest Star Wars collaboration yet and probably the most fun. There haven't been any unique abilities in the game like this before, so it will be an exciting time to be a Fortnite player. Additionally, they are adding two new male Star Wars characters to the game, but it's unclear who they are right now.

5) New weapons

This season will introduce a new melee weapon. The Katana looks like a back bling or harvesting tool, but it will be in the loot pool. It will have a few unique abilities, which suggests that it will be a Mythic weapon.

Aside from the Katana, there will be other new weapons in the loot pool. A new Pump Shotgun is coming, and so is a new variant of the Ranger Assault Rifle. Further, a new Smart Pistol and Rope and Chains Grenade Launcher will join the game. These two will be entirely new to Fortnite.
