Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is off to a great start, but certain weapons in the loot pool are being overlooked by the majority of players. These items aren't bad, but they do not satisfy the preferences of certain people when it comes to in-game utilities. However, some of these weapons actually perform well in combat.
Five weapons in particular are currently underrated, and the exact reasons are unclear. These are worth trying out in combat if players want to keep their options open. With a bit of practice, they will realize that it may benefit them to keep an eye out for these weapons during a match.
Tactical Assault Rifle and four other underrated weapons in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1
1) Tactical Assault Rifle

What makes the Tactical Assault Rifle unique is that it uses light bullets instead of medium. Another interesting facet is that it cannot be found on the island. To get hold of this weapon, players have to acquire the Tactical Armory Augment.
Given how rare this weapon is, it's by far one of the most underrated guns in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. It features a red-dot sight and is very effective in close-range combat. When fighting tactically, this weapon is the best choice for open ground and pinning opponents down in place.
2) Tactical Pistol
While some pros have already acknowledged how powerful the Tactical Pistol is, most casual players avoid it. When the term "pistol" is thrown about, many envision a slow-firing weapon, but this weapon subverts the idea.
The Tactical Pistol is fully automatic and has a tight spread, allowing players to shoot an entire magazine accurately. What makes this weapon more deadly is that it can be reloaded whilst aiming. This allows players to keep their eyes on the target at all times.
3) Maven Auto Shotgun
The Thunder Shotgun is currently the most popular weapon in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, but the Maven Auto Shotgun is also a force to be reckoned with. What it lacks in raw firepower, it makes up for in fire-rate.
It is fully-automatic, which means that players can keep the fire-button pressed and empty all six rounds in mere seconds. Since accuracy is not compromised in the process, a skilled player will be able to make short work of two or even more players with relative ease when using the Maven Auto Shotgun.
4) Primal Stink Bow
When the Primal Stink Bow was first introduced to the game in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, the community had a lot to say about it. While some enjoyed the mechanics involved, others were not satisfied with its capabilities. The situation is no different now, with most players preferring to use the Mechanical Shockwave and Explosive Bows instead.
However, with a bit of quick thinking, the Primal Stink Bow can be turned into one of the most broken weapons in-game. Opponents will be forced to break from cover if they want to avoid taking damage from the stagnant poison cloud when you are using this weapon. It is thus highly effective for flushing opponents out of hiding and rotating out of cover.
5) Unstable Bow
The Unstable Bow is one of the most peculiar weapons in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. It allows players to gain access to all four types of bows. After every shot, the type of damage dealt varies. Using this exotic weapon will allow you to confuse your opponents.
However, the Unstable Bow can't be acquired for free. It costs 500 gold bars and can be purchased from Wild Card, located at Breakwater Bay and Shattered Slabs. It is arguably worth the price. With a bit of practice, players can dominate opponents and pin them down using the weapon.
