Fortnite is no stranger to collaborations. If there's a popular brand out there, Epic Games has either partnered with it already or will eventually. The developer has landed Balenciaga, Star Wars, The Walking Dead, Naruto, Jordan, the NBA, and so many more.
However, not everything can or will make it into the game. The collaboration ideas listed in this article may be popular, but they're incredibly unlikely to take place. Here are a few examples of what the community wants but will never happen.
Top 6 Fortnite collaborations that are popular but very unlikely to appear
6) Futurama

Mature animated shows are no stranger to Fortnite as Rick & Morty was featured in Chapter 2 Season 7's Battle Pass. Still, that is a current show and extremely popular. Futurama isn't and there isn't much of a market for it. Still, fans want it and would love to see it, it just probably won't happen.
5) Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift is perhaps the biggest artist in the entire world. She probably has no time or interest in appearing in a video game, especially with four albums left to re-record plus any additional new music.
Further, she released a new album in October, so the popularity was there for a crossover. She doesn't need timeliness to be relevant, but she might for Fortnite.
A live concert could happen, but it doesn't feel like something that's even remotely on her radar. Fans of Taylor Swift and the game would love this, but it's likely a dream that's too good to be true.
4) Mario
Mario is perhaps the most iconic video game character of all time. Since Epic has an entire Gaming Legends series, it makes sense that everyone wants this to happen. However, Nintendo doesn't do much licensing outside its own brand.
For Epic to get Mario's rights, it would have to go through a lot and that's only if Nintendo decides to allow, which it probably won't. As such, this remains a pipe dream.
3) Pokémon
Pokémon is the hottest game brand right now and has been one of the most iconic since 1996. It would be one of the most popular collaborations of all time, but it's probably not happening.
Fitting an actual Pokémon to the size and shape of a Fortnite skin would be nearly impossible and Ash Ketchum isn't even the same size, either. There are ways to go around this (like a mech), but as mentioned, that's only if Nintendo allows it.
2) Sonic
Sonic makes more sense than any Nintendo character, but it's still not going to happen. He doesn't fit the dimensions of the classic Fortnite skin and he's arguably one of the least likely video game characters to ever be seen with a weapon.
SEGA likely doesn't want Sonic in Fortnite, either. This collaboration, while having the potential to be massive, will remain a dream.
1) Breaking Bad
There is a chance that this happens out of sheer popularity, but Breaking Bad x Fortnite is a long shot. It's a far too adult show for a game that admittedly caters to a younger audience. Epic has added mature material before, but a drug kingpin and other criminals just feels a step too far.
Nevertheless, Gus Fring was in a survey once, so it's not impossible, but very unlikely at this point. Additionally, both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are done, so there's no immediate relevance now.
Note: This article is subjective and reflects the views of the author. These are also not guaranteed to never happen as Epic Games can and will add whatever it wants.
