Fortnite skins are one of the most popular cosmetic items in video games. As of October 2022, more than 1,400 skins are in the game, and many have become very popular.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of Fortnite skins that newer players will never own. These skins were released either during limited promotions and events or as part of the Battle Pass.
This is very unfortunate, as there are many great iconic skins. Epic Games has clarified that some of them will never return to Fortnite Battle Royale, which makes them incredibly rare.
This article dives into eight Fortnite skins that newer players will never own. The list will include some of the most popular and iconic skins released in the past five years.

New players cannot obtain these unique Fortnite skins
Most of the Fortnite skins on the list have been released in the Battle Pass. As Epic has previously stated, these skins will never return to the game, which is why accounts that have them are precious.
Battle Pass rewards are limited and can only be obtained by leveling up. Once the Battle Pass expires, its rewards can no longer be unlocked.
Here are some popular Fortnite skins that are no longer available:
1) Black Knight
The Black Knight skin was released with the first-ever Fortnite Battle Pass. It was the final reward of Chapter 1 Season 2, and players were required to reach Tier 70 to unlock it.
Epic Games has released several skin recolors throughout the years, but none are as good as the original variant. Unfortunately, it's one of the rarest skins in the game and will never return.
2) Peely
Peely is one of the most iconic Fortnite characters of all time. The banana man was released with the Chapter 1 Season 8 Battle Pass and has received many different variants lately.
However, the original skin is no longer unlockable. This is too bad since Peely has become a true hero. He saved the universe with his heroic deeds in the Chapter 3 Season 2 live event. Peely risked his life to defeat the Imagined Order and bring peace to the island.
3) Havoc
Many Fortnite players have entirely forgotten about Havoc. He was one of the first Legendary Fortnite skins to be released into the game but was limited to only Twitch Prime members.
The skin was released in February 2018, and the only way to get it was to pay for a Twitch Prime subscription. The popular streaming network allows Fortnite players a free trial, which is what many used to get Havoc. However, some players did not want to sign up for the service, missing out on a free skin.
Havoc was included in the first-ever Fortnite Twitch Prime pack, so newer players will never be able to get the skin.
4) Galaxia
Galaxia is a unique Fortnite skins. She was released with the first-ever Fortnite Crew pack back in December 2020. The legendary skin has quickly become very popular but is no longer available in the game.
The first Fortnite Crew skin was only obtainable in December 2020. Like Fortnite skins that come with the Battle Pass, Crew skins are unique and will not return to the video game.
5) The Foundation
The Foundation is the leader of The Seven and one of the most iconic Fortnite skins. He was released with the Chapter 3 Season 1 Battle Pass and played a huge role in the events leading up to the third chapter of the popular video game.
The character is played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, another thing that has helped his popularity. Unfortunately, like many other members of The Seven, newer players will not be able to obtain him.
Epic Games has released a new variant of The Paradigm with the Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass. Due to this, there is a chance that we will get a new variant of The Foundation at some point in the future as well.
6) Lynx
Lynx is arguably the best-looking female character from Fortnite Chapter 1. She was released with the Season 7 Battle Pass and had it all, from different armor to multiple colors.
Season 7 Battle Pass owners unlocked the popular character immediately as she was in the first tier of the progression system. Epic Games has released a few skins that look similar to hers, but none are as appealing as the original Lynx outfit.
7) Dr. Slone
Dr. Slone takes the cake regarding the most famous villain, Fortnite skins. She played a huge role in the events that happened at the end of Chapter 2 and early Chapter 3. However, she is presumed dead after a battle at The Collider.
Dr. Slone was released in the Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass. While her original skin will not return, we expect Epic Games to release another variant if she ever returns to the storyline.
8) Midas
Epic Games has released numerous versions of Midas throughout the years. However, his original skin from the Chapter 2 Season 2 Battle Pass is still prevalent. The international crime boss was the mastermind behind the Doomsday Device that caused chaos on the island.
Considering Midas's popularity, Epic Games will most likely release even more variants of him in the future. There is also a chance that he will return to the storyline at some point.
