Fortnite recently released the All Sweat Summer event in Chapter 5 Season 3, bringing the game's annual summer event back for 2024. It allows players to unlock exclusive rewards by completing quests and challenges attached to the event. However, the All Sweat Summer event has brought more than cosmetics, with Epic Games implementing changes to the game's various Ranked playlists. This has caused quite a discussion among players in the community.
This was highlighted in a recent Reddit post shared by u/Azzyfurry04, where the player shared a screenshot of Epic Games' announcement for the new All Sweat Summer update's Ranked mode changes.
That made way for discussion among members of the community. The changes are sure to impact Ranked gameplay throughout the duration of the All Sweat Summer event, so players will understandably have varying opinions.

Expressing their admiration for the new Ranked mode changes and how they have been waiting for such changes for a while, Reddit user u/saltybirb commented:
“About time we see separate loot pools”
Other members of the community took to the comments to chime in on the discussion regarding the All Sweat Summer Ranked mode changes. Reddit user u/ Ill-Wedding6744 highlighted how the changes that Epic Games made are likely to test these new parameters in-game and see how well they perform in the future.
Meanwhile, u/MuscleManRule34 highlighted how players have been asking for Ranked and Unranked modes to have separate loot pools for a while now.
u/Upbeat-Idea9109, on the other hand, expressed how other than Vehicle Mods, cars were still a useful addition just to traverse the map. To this, u/ActuaryHelpful6171 suggested how Epic Games should remove Mythic Nitro Cars and Vehicle Mods from Ranked modes and just keep the base vehicles in the game.
What did Epic Games change with the Fortnite All Sweat Summer update?
As mentioned previously, the All Sweat Summer event has brought some significant changes to the game's Ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build playlists. In accordance with the new changes, Epic Games has removed all types of vehicles and Vehicle Mods during matches.
Additionally, hired NPCs, which have been growing as a prominent strategy in Chapter 5 Season 3, have also been disabled with the update while keeping hostile characters and NPCs like Megalo Don intact.
Finally, Epic Games has also disabled the Nitro Fists in the Ranked modes, allowing players to navigate the battlefield without this partly contentious item.
