Bounty Boards have survived it all and are still present in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. Although the concept of bounty-hunting makes no sense in-game, given how meager the reward is, it's still fun at times.
With that said, there are 20 Bounty Boards that players can find and interact with on the island. As always, completing a bounty will reward 75 Gold Bars, while having the target poached will reward 10 Gold Bars.

Bounty Boards in the Grassland/MedievalBiome
Master the game with our Fortnite Interactive Map v33.00 here!
The total number of Bounty Boards that can be found in the Grassland/MedievalBiome has been reduced.
Last season, there were a total of 10, but with the introduction of the Futuristic Japanese Biome in Chapter 4 Season 2, that number has been reduced to eight. Here's where they can be found in-game.
- Breakwater Bay
- The Citadel
- Frenzy Fields
- Pleasant Passage
- Shattered Slabs
- Rocky Docks
- Anvil Square
- Slappy Shores
Bounty Boards in the Snow Biome
Unlike the Grassland/Medieval Biome, the number of Bounty Boards in the Snow Biome has remained unchanged. Although snow/ice still covers a large portion of the island, there are only three Bounty Boards for that region on the map. Here are their locations:
- Cold Cavern
- Lonely Labs
- Brutal Bastion
Bounty Boards in the Futuristic Japanese Biome
The Futuristic Japanese Biome is all the hype in Chapter 4 Season 2. While many are yet to safely be able to explore Mega City and other POIs due to the high volume of opponents landing, it's still a beautiful sight.
There are a total of nine Bounty Boards within the Futuristic Japanese Biome. Here's where to find them:
- Sandy Circle
- Steamy Springs
- Bamboo Circle
- Mega City (2)
- Cedar Circle
- Knotty Nets
- Sakura Circle
- Kenjutsu Crossing
Is it worth interacting with Bounty Boards in Chapter 4 Season 2?
While the concept of bounty-hunting is appealing and alluring in nature, it lacks value to a large extent in-game. Given that eliminating the bounty target only rewards 75 Gold Bars, it's easier to open Cash Registers and Safes instead. In fact, it's safer and requires minimal effort for the most part.
That said, Bounty Boards aren't completely useless. If nothing else, players can pick up a bounty contract to help them spot opponents nearby by highlighting the area in which they are located. While this may not always be the case as certain bounty targets are marked far away, in most instances, the closest opponent is marked.
Since the bounty target's geo-location updates every now and then, players can use this real-time information. They can either engage their opponents and complete the contract or avoid them completely.
When in the early-game stages, avoiding confrontation is probably best for new players or those who desire a passive approach to gameplay. However, those who want to improve their K/D ratio can use the opponent's geo-location to predict their movement pattern and set up the perfect ambush to score an elimination.
