Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 are new harmless NPCs. These adorable characters are spawned at numerous locations across the map and grant different types of perks that can give you small advantages in the game. These characters were first shown in the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 teaser, jumping and running in random cutscenes.
As of this writing, there are three Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, and this article aims to explain their purpose and how to find them.
All types of Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
1) Water Sprite

The Water Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 are found very commonly in the game. These adorable creatures can be picked up and take up a weapon slot. Upon throwing them, they work as a Shield Keg, slowly healing everybody in the visible blue radius. They can be found almost everywhere on the map and picked up using the primary interaction key bind. You can not shoot and harm them.
2) Air Sprite
The Air Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 are fast-moving grey-colored creatures that are slightly more difficult to find than the Water Sprites. If you try to chase them, they start running away, making it tougher for players to capture — especially when the Stamina Level is exhausted.
If you do manage to successfully catch one, you can throw it to make an Updraft Boost, which works similarly to a Launchpad. It launches you high enough to travel hundreds of meters using the glider quickly.
If you are unable to pick it up despite pressing the interaction button, do not worry. This is a known bug and should be fixed with the next patch soon. A quick potential solution for this issue is switching from the Pickaxe to another weapon slot, or vice versa, and trying to interact again.

3) Earth Sprite
The Earth Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 look like an old man with a body of wood. These creatures are relatively hard to find in the game. They have a low spawn rate and do not roam at random places like Air and Water Sprites do, but rather sit at a fixed location.
Though it is not confirmed, players have found out that only two Earth Sprites spawn per match, making them rarer than Llamas, which used to have three spawns per match. If you are lucky enough to find one, you can interact with it to exchange items.
Depending on the rarity of the item you trade, the Earth Sprite will give you multiple consumables or a rare weapon. Most of the consumables that it drops are fish. As confirmed by popular streamer, SypherPK, the Earth Sprite has a limit of trading two items at a time, and has the potential of giving a Legendary and, probably, even a Mythic weapon.

So now you about all the Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. It is to be noted that the map and loot pool of the game keeps changing on a weekly basis, so new Sprites can be added in the future. If you are unable to find a Sprite near you, you can visit and interact with the Sprite Shrine, which looks like a giant stone with carvings and has a light beam going upwards.
