Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 has brought Upgrade Benches back. Despite Epic Games releasing numerous changes with the new season, this feature hasn't been removed and will likely stay in the game for a long time.

Upgrade Benches allow players to improve their weapons. More specifically, players can use gold bars to increase the rarity of their weapons. Most can be improved upto the Legendary (Gold) rarity using gold bars.

Upgrade Benches are very useful for players who don't have a lot of luck with looting. Unfortunately, these require gold bars to upgrade weapons, which many players cannot afford.

Upgrading a weapon from Common (Gray) to Legendary rarity costs more than 1,000 bars. Due to its price, many players upgrade their weapons by only one rarity.

Here are all the current locations of Upgrade Benches in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. Remember that Epic Games will likely remove some benches in the future or add more of them to certain places.

The image above shows all the locations where you can find Upgrade Benches in the current season of Fortnite Battle Royale. As you can see, each biome has a couple of Upgrade Benches, including a new biome that features Mega City.

The northernmost Upgrade Bench can be found at Crude Harbor, while players who like landing south can find one at Fallow Fuel, southeast of Mega City. Weapons can also be upgraded at Shattered Slabs, Anvil Square, and Breakwater Bay, among many other locations.

Epic Games hasn't changed the Upgrade Benches in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. They still work the same way they worked when they were first released into the popular video game.

Considering that many players believe that this feature is balanced, it is unlikely that Epic will change it. While upgrading weapons costs a lot of gold, it is optional, and players do not have to go through this process.
