Charlie Wen's direction for the Fortnite narrative is taking shape with the introduction of characters such as The Wanderer, and it seems the game is regaining its ability to tell a compelling story within its highly competitive environment. To accentuate the entity's presence and importance in the storyline, Epic Games recently introduced him as an NPC on the Chapter 5 map.

However, even The Wanderer is not free from the title's usual hilarious bugs. This is highlighted in a recent Reddit post by u/CesarinMono, who shared a series of screenshots from Chapter 5 Season 3 featuring the enigmatic character funnily wielding a pistol without any arms being visible.

The instance is likely caused by a bug and is contradictory to The Wanderer's otherwise mysterious presence, putting a hilarious twist on the hooded figure who is largely meant to come off as threatening.

u/TheSparklePanda further added to the confusion of seeing The Wanderer in the game, joking about how they went away for one weekend, only to see a ghost-like figure in the game upon returning.

u/Halflife84, on the other hand, highlighted how Hope, another crucial character in Fortnite, hinted at The Wanderer in her voice lines, further signifying how important the figure is to the storyline.

The Wanderer is a mysterious antagonistic force that was first hinted at by the Greek Oracle all the way back in Chapter 5 Season 2, tying the character into the Greek Mythology storyline.

This enigmatic figure was first seen in the Nitro Fusion Megalo Don Loading Screen from the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Pass, suggesting he has something to do with Megalo Don and his Wasteland Warriors.

The Wanderer is seemingly an incredibly powerful entity, so powerful that the Greek Gods created Pandora's Box to contain not only him but also the power of Nitro, the mysterious new substance that powers Megalo Don and his armada.

While The Wanderer's goals in the storyline are currently not clear, they are bound to shape and impact the Chapter 5 Season 3 narrative moving forward.
