The Fortnite FNCS 2024: Global Championship is set to start on September 7, 2024, and the hype within the community is at its peak. This is the largest and the last tournament of the FNCS series in 2024. As the title of this event suggests, the top Fortnite pros from around the world will be competing, for the prize pool of $2 million. Interestingly, five countries will appear in a Fortnite Major LAN event for the first time in three years or more.

On that note, here are the countries returning to Fortnite FNCS 2024: Global Championship after multiple seasons.

Spain and four other countries returning to Fortnite FNCS 2024: Global Championship after three years or more

Zenko first reported the following information on social media platform X. He is a reputable Fortnite statistics provider and esports manager followed by some of the biggest pros and content creators in Fortnite.

1) Spain

Spain was a dominant country in the Fortnite esports scene during the Skirmish days and the World Cup. Since the beginning of COVID, Spain's representation at Fortnite tournaments has seen a massive decline, with only a few players gaining high placements in online tournaments and no one qualifying for any offline events.

Clone and KramSu will be the first Spanish duo to play at a major Fortnite LAN event since the Fortnite World Cup in 2019. Currently signed to KPI Gaming, both players qualified for the Global Championship after finishing third at the Fortnite FNCS 2024: Major 3 ME region.

2) Belgium

Although Belgium has seen many high placements in online FNCS and Skirmish events, the country has not appeared at any LAN tournament since DreamHack Anaheim in 2020.

Casperinovic is a Belgian Fortnite pro who barely made it to the Global Championship, after placing 11th during the Major 3 Grand Finals in the EU Region. He will be playing with British player Prism at the Global Championship.

3) United Arab Emirates

Despite Fortnite's massive popularity in Middle Eastern countries, the United Arab Emirates has little to no representation at Fortnite LAN events. The only LAN appearance that UAE had was during FNCS: All-Star Showdown in early 2021.

Pixo is a UAE-based player who qualified for the Globals alongside Milo, who unfortunately can't participate anymore due to his visa getting denied. If this did not happen, Milo would have been the first-ever Pakistani player to qualify for a major LAN event. Pixo's new teammate is Ajerss from Canada.

4) New Zealand

New Zealand only had two major LAN event appearances in Fortnite so far, both in 2019: Fortnite World Cup and Twitchcon Fortnite Showdown.

Cazi will be the only player to represent New Zealand at the Fortnite FNCS 2024: Global Championship alongside his long-time duo partner Aspect. He started gaining massive popularity in the Fortnite competitive scene in 2024 after placing in at least the top three in all the Fortnite FNCS 2024 Online Majors in the Oceania Region.

5) Czechia

Czechia is one of the least represented EU region countries in Fortnite esports. The only major LAN appearance from this country was at the Fortnite World Cup Solos in 2019.

David "Huty" Kochet is an 18-year-old Fortnite pro who will be representing Czechia. He has won multiple Cash Cups in both the Middle East and Europe region and will be playing alongside Danish player KovaaksXD in the Globals.

When does the Fortnite FNCS 2024: Global Champion start?

The Fortnite FNCS 2024: Global Championship is a two-day tournament that will begin on September 7, 2024, and will be concluded the next day. The top 50 duos from around the world were qualified after getting high placements at their online Major Grand Finals since the beginning of the year. This is a LAN event which will be hosted at the Dickies Arena in Texas.

As the Globals are getting closer, various tryhard skins have started to appear at the Fortnite Item Shop. Check out the Fortnite Item Shop Tomorrow to see what Epic Games might be planning to add next.
